The Editorial Board of the Daily Herald knocked it out of the park this week. Our young people need better, more robust sex education and frank conversations about how to take steps to prevent STDs, not less, as the anti-sex education folks would have our State Board of Education believe.
Planned Parenthood has a long history of educating young people on how to prevent STDs and providing affordable STD testing and treatment. We do our part to improve public health and prevent the spread of sexually transmitted disease. Planned Parenthood has been able to provide this service in part due to being the Title X family planning provider in Utah.
As you know, the Trump administration forced Planned Parenthood to withdraw from the Title X program last month. Now, we need the U.S. Congress to save the Title X program. Join Planned Parenthood’s fight to Protect Title X.
Tomorrow is a national day of action to demonstrate support for undoing the Trump administration’s “gag rule” that dismantled the Title X program. As you roll out of bed on Saturday, will you stand with us by posting your support on social media? It’s as easy as throwing on your favorite pink Ambassador ensemble, snapping a picture, and posting to your social media with the hashtags #ProtectX and #StandwithPP.
Planned Parenthood of Utah has been providing high-quality, affordable reproductive health care and education for nearly 50 years. Despite continued attacks from the Trump administration, we aren’t going anywhere. Thank you for standing with us and holding our lawmakers accountable. We can’t do this work without you.
