Join us for YWCA Utah’s 21-Day Racial Equity & Social Justice Challenge
In June, as the movement for racial justice took center stage across the country, we proactively took a step back to amplify Black organizations and listen to our Black staff, patients, supporters, partners, and colleagues. As we enter July, we are committed to continuing to uplift underrepresented voices and take accountability.
On Monday, July 6th, the YWCA Utah will start a 21 Day Race Equity & Social Justice Challenge. Planned Parenthood of Utah Public Affairs and other staff members have pledged to participate in the challenge as part of our work to look inward and examine our relationship with systemic and institutional racism as individuals and as an organization. We recognize that there’s a lot of internal work we still need to do, and we’re holding ourselves to it.
As our Ambassadors, we invite you to join us in this challenge! You can sign up for the 21 Day Race Equity & Social Justice Challenge here. Let’s collectively grow as we advocate for social justice. Fighting for reproductive rights and health is incomplete if we are not demanding racial equity and social justice. We must be intersectional with our approach or else we’re not fighting for everyone.
Join me in our Ambassador Facebook group where I will share what I liked or learned from each day of the challenge. Let’s do this together!
