On episode 6 of the Birds and the Beehive Podcast, we are talking with Planned Parenthood’s resident policy expert, Heather Stringfellow. We learn about the legislative process here in Utah, how a bill becomes law, and how Planned Parenthood gets involved during the Legislative Session to protect our reproductive freedoms.
Heather Stringfellow joined Planned Parenthood Association of Utah as Vice President of Public Policy in October 2011. Heather provides leadership for all aspects of Planned Parenthood’s statewide public affairs and public policy programs. Prior to Planned Parenthood, Heather spent 20 years advocating for victims of crime in and around the criminal justice system, as an award-winning detective with the Salt Lake Police Department, and later as the executive director of the Rape Recovery Center. Heather holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Utah.
